Beyond Event Horizon

In Beyond Event Horizon, the curvature of space-time around a black hole is depicted through a curved wooden panel and a deep-black metal disc coated with Musou Black paint, which absorbs up to 99.4% of light. A resin-cast butterfly, representing nature’s fragile form, hovers at the threshold of visibility. Subtle LED backlighting intensifies the contrast, causing the black butterfly to virtually disappear when viewed from the front. Only from the side does its silhouette emerge—an echo of how light, time, and reality distort near an event horizon.
