The Anatomia series explores the continuity of life by combining charred olive wood—recovered from the fire-prone hills of Cadaqués—with gold-leafed insects cast from real specimens. Their placement in spiraling formations symbolizes life’s cyclic nature, echoing concepts of renewal and eternity found in Egyptian mythology. Each piece invites viewers to see their own shapes and stories in the organically carved olive roots, reminiscent of “cloud-watching.” The gold leaf highlights the preciousness of life and underscores the enduring essence common to all living beings.
